Honor Dr. Pete Kensicki by Supporting the Kensicki Endowed Scholarship Fund

Please join us in honoring Dr. Pete Kensicki by making a contribution to the Dr. Peter Kensicki Scholarship Fund, an endowed scholarship fund.  Contributions to the fund are held as principal, which is then invested to generate interest income.  The interest income, in turn, supports scholarships for RMI Majors at EKU.

Monies donated to the Kensicki Scholarship Fund cannot be spent for purposes other than supporting EKU RMI student scholarships.  Giving to this fund helps ensure that your gift makes a difference through perpetuity.

Each year, we award scholarships from the fund to our students.  This past year, two students, Adam Froman from Carrollton, Kentucky and Sean Bargo from Frankfurt, Kentucky, benefitted from Kensicki scholarships.

How can you help us honor Dr. Pete?

  1. Make a donation to the Kensicki Scholarship!  Our goal is to raise at least $21,000, which is $1,000 for each year that Dr. Pete taught at EKU. No amount is too small and every dollar matters!

If you would like to contribute, you can go to the link below.

A gift made to the Kensicki Scholarship Fund anytime between now and midnight on Giving Day, April 19, 2023, counts toward our Giving Day totals.

  1. Spread the word!  Anyone can give, and you don't have to be an EKU alum or have been taught by Pete.  Our target this year is to have 78 donations.  The number 78 is Pete's age.  Last year, we had 50 donations.  With your help, I know that we will reach this higher target of 78!
  2. At the very end of this message are a few questions.  If you have the inclination, we would love to have your answers to these questions to share with Pete and as a part of our Giving Day promotional activities.  Including a photo of yourself is always nice.

In addition, if you know others who had Pete in class, feel able to ask them to complete and send to us their answers.  You can e-Mail your answers to Lisa at lisa.gardner@eku.edu.
