WSIA offers a variety of opportunities to support college students majorining in risk management and insurance as well as those who are interested in working in the excess and surplus lines industry.
As part of WSAI's initiative to expand surplus lines awareness and knowledge for undergraduate college students studying RMI, actuarial science, finance and business, they sponsor a "White Paper Contest" twice a year. Winning papers are published on the WSIA website and winners receive: 1st place - $1,500 award; 2nd place - $1,000 award; 3rd place - $500 award. This year, EKU's College of Business is pleased to announce RMI Major Benjamin Kibiloski placed 3rd in the Spring 2021 White Paper competition receiving the $500 award. Kibiloski submitted the paper called "Civil Unrest and Public Entity Liability" for competition after writing the article as a requirement for RMI 378.
