The third annual Women Leadership Day, hosted by the Risk Management and Insurance Program in collaboration with Women Leaders in Insurance and Financial Services, will be held on Tuesday, February 25th in the Janna P. Vice Atrium and Robert B. Rogow Auditorium at EKU’s Business and Technology Center. 

 

KU RMI Program Ranked Top 20 by Business Insurance

Eastern Kentucky University’s Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) Program was ranked in the top 20 of programs recognized by Business Insurance in their annual rankings of Collegiate Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) Programs in the US. The rankings, based on the number of RMI majors at a college or university, place EKU's RMI Program at #16.

Gamma Iota Sigma Students Travel to Dallas, Receive Three Awards

Members of EKU’s Psi Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS), a professional fraternity for students pursing careers in risk management, insurance, and actuarial science, had the opportunity to attend the organization’s 48th Annual International Conference in Dallas, Texas at the end of September.

Tuesday, February 19, 2019 marked the second Women Leadership Day in the Business and Technology Center. Presented by EKU's Risk Management and Insurance program and Women Leaders in Insurance and Financial Services, the day consisted of networking, a professional panel discussion, and a keynote speaker. As an added bonus, prizes and refreshments were offered. 

Alex Cummins Receives Coveted ABSIP Sponsorship

RIMS 2019

The Anita Benedetti Student Involvement Program (ABSIP) gives students the opportunity to attend the RIMS (Risk Management Society) Annual Conference and Exhibition. Each year, ABSIP awards 30 scholarships to fund the attendance of the conference. This year one of those awarded was EKU Risk Management and Insurance student Alexandra Cummins.

RMI Program to Travel to Bermuda

At the end of this month, a group of EKU Business faculty and staff are traveling to Bermuda to help set up an articulation agreement with Bermuda College. Debbie Ellis along with Lisa Gardner, Ph.D. and Ben Woodruff, Ph.D. will be attending Bermuda College on November 27th to participate in the transfer meeting.

RMI Hosts 28th Annual Golf Outing

The 28th annual RMI Golf Outing was held on September 6th at the Arlington Golf Club in Richmond, KY. It was a beautiful day for golf with the promised rain for the day holding out until the event was over.

Gallagher to speak at Women Leadership Day

Industry expert Maureen Gallagher is set to be the keynote speaker for Women Leadership Day at EKU. Hosted by Women Leaders in Insurance & Financial Services and EKU's Risk Management & Insurance Program, the event will be on Tues., Sept. 18, 2018.
