RMI Golf Outing Raises Funds to Support EKU Students

Students weren’t the only ones that benefited at the recent Golf Outing hosted by the EKU’s Risk Management and Insurance on September 10th! As a matter of fact, for over 150 participants there were prizes such as gift certificates, golf bags, and golf clubs to be won during the scramble.

EKU Risk Management and Insurance hosted the First Annual Lloyd’s of London Forum Sept. 18-19 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Lexington. The event, designed exclusively for students, drew participants from our EKU as well as universities in other states.

PIA Annual Meeting in Conjunction with EKU Risk Management and Insurance Presents: I-Day 2015

Thursday, April 9th, 2015, EKU’s Risk Management and Insurance program hosted I-Day (Insurance Day) on campus at the EKU Center for the Arts.  I-Day was in conjunction with the PIA (Professional Insurance Agents Association) annual meeting.

Dr. Siwei Gao has been appointed to the Thomas and Rebecca Coffey Endowed Professorship in Insurance Studies at Eastern Kentucky University.

Cincinnati Insurance Offers EKU Students Incredible Opportunity

On March 12, Cincinnati Insurance offered students the chance to join a Q&A session and enjoy some pizza. Interested students were seeking either employment after graduation or an internship opportunity.

On Wednesday, March 4, a “Pizza and Primerica” event was held in the Business and Technology Center.  This event was established for the purpose of introducing School of Business students to Primerica, a financial services company.

EKU Student Receives Principal Financial Group Internship

EKU senior Xin Ge from Lexington, Ky., received an internship with a global financial management company. Principal Financial Group has offices in more than eighteen countries with $514 billion in assets currently under management.
